Pelorus International was founded in 1994, and is focused on the technology sector assisting companies such as NEC, Netsuite, Infoactiv, Dimension Data, and others with complex selling cycles, direct business to business selling as well with channel partners where essential go to market planning is required.

We work with senior and executive management, sales, business development and marketing teams in both private and public sector organisations to ensure the ‘change' needed for selling effectively works with all components of the value chain to the customer.


Through well-defined engagement initiatives we focus on teaching, coaching and assisting teams and individuals to implement proven processes and repeatable methodologies that enable companies to improve sales performance outcomes and build stronger differentiation with their customers. 

Since our inception we have experienced a high level of growth, expanding our sphere of influence to encompass the Asia –Pacific region. From this extensive experience we are able to understand regional differences and can readily adapt our methods to suit different cultural environments.


Jay Johnson – Founder and Managing Director

Jay is the founder and director of Pelorus International Pty Ltd. He brings a ‘fresh perspective' to businesses and is respected as consultant, coach, facilitator and speaker on Sales Effectiveness. His proven expertise, insights and experience in sales, marketing and channels has helped companies develop and generate incremental, profitable, revenue and relationship growth. 

Jay has achieved this through focus on implementing critical sales processes, execution support and coaching. He is a subject matter expert in Business Planning, Sales Management, Account Management, Opportunity Management and Partner Management Planning and Facilitation.

He has had a successful career within technology sales organizations, beginning with IBM, Wang Computer, and others, in roles from Branch Manager, Regional Manager, and VP Sales North America to Australian businesses at National levels in Sales and Marketing.

Barry Lindsey – Senior Consultant

Barry's career includes over 30 years' experience in sales, marketing and senior management roles in the ICT Industry. He is an executive-level professional with proven success in achieving impressive sales performance results within challenging B2B channels. 

Barry's career began with British Telecom, advancing into roles in other leading companies in the UK and then Australia. He has successfully held senior and executive management roles that have included National Marketing Manager, State Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and Chief Operations Officer.

Barry is co-author of a number of corporate sales programmes and is a successful facilitator of a broad range of sales workshops to technology based organisations in Australia and across the Asia Pacific. 

He holds a Master's and Post Graduate degree in Marketing from RMIT University.
